Yesterday, at the Apple iPhone 4 press conference, Steve Jobs have said that all phones have an issue with dropping calls and losing signal.  Here’s what RIM and Nokia said:

RIM’s co-CEO’s Mike Lazaridis and Jim Balsillie:

“Apple’s attempt to draw RIM into Apple’s self-made debacle is unacceptable. Apple’s claims about RIM products appear to be deliberate attempts to distort the public’s understanding of an antenna design issue and to deflect attention from Apple’s difficult situation. RIM is a global leader in antenna design and has been successfully designing industry-leading wireless data products with efficient and effective radio performance for over 20 years. During that time, RIM has avoided designs like the one Apple used in the iPhone 4 and instead has used innovative designs which reduce the risk for dropped calls, especially in areas of lower coverage. One thing is for certain, RIM’s customers don’t need to use a case for their BlackBerry smartphone to maintain proper connectivity. Apple clearly made certain design decisions and it should take responsibility for these decisions rather than trying to draw RIM and others into a situation that relates specifically to Apple.”

Nokia:

“Antenna design is a complex subject and has been a core competence at Nokia for decades, across hundreds of phone models. Nokia was the pioneer in internal antennas; the Nokia 8810, launched in 1998, was the first commercial phone with this feature.

Nokia has invested thousands of man hours in studying human behavior, including how people hold their phones for calls, music playing, web browsing and so on. As you would expect from a company focused on connecting people, we prioritize antenna performance over physical design if they are ever in conflict.

In general, antenna performance of a mobile device/phone may be affected with a tight grip, depending on how the device is held. That’s why Nokia designs our phones to ensure acceptable performance in all real life cases, for example when the phone is held in either hand. Nokia has invested thousands of man hours in studying how people hold their phones and allows for this in designs, for example by having antennas both at the top and bottom of the phone and by careful selection of materials and their use in the mechanical design.”

It’s funny how Nokia says, “we prioritize antenna performance over physical design if they are ever in conflict”. So, does Apple do have it other way around? I think they do, and always have been doing that. If you want something that works and has infinite options, you should get a pc.

“We neeed two buttons on the mouse so that the user will have options. PC = OK, but give them the option of having more buttons, programable even if they want. MAC = No that won’t look good, and it might confuse our sheep”

At the recent 2010 Mac User Conference held by Nonprofit Mac community Union in Seoul, Nam, who’s a member of the union, presented his Mac. The crystal studded MacBook was Nam’s entry for the Mac Accessories Contest. A sparkling creation, it definitely left one and all present at the conference bedazzled. A beauty, this is one bling gadget I would love to own and flaunt.

The Onion has done it again. The Onion is really great at parodying a wide range of topics, but they always seem to be especially good at parodying Apple topics. Who’s the latest victim? Apple’s Genius Bars. According to The Onion, Apple will soon unveil something called “Friend Bar”, which Apple users can visit to find someone to “talk at” about their newest mundane Apple thoughts.
What makes this video even funnier is that an idea like this really doesn’t seem all that realistic. Like WTF? There is already a dating site for Apple users that is growing quite nicely.
Just think about it. What if there would be a Friend Bar?

It’s funny to see people who think the iPhone is “the perfect phone”. Each person is unique, and so is a phone. When choosing a phone, it all depends on what you want it to have. It looks like Steve Jobs have brainwashed people, so they think that Apple has all the best products. The following video criticises people like that. They don’t care that another phone has a larger display, faster network, a better OS, etc.

Well, this “rumor” started on Monday. An Apple engineer left an iPhone 4G at a bar, where he was celebrating his 27th birthday. Human mistake to leave a phone somewhere. Happens to everyone. Gizmodo.com payed $5000 for it “without knowing it’s a real iPhone 4G until they took it apart” (really? Why would you pay that much money for it then?) Gizmodo took pictures of it. Now it’s all over the web.
Apple has sent a letter to Gizmodo asking for the device, what make us think this is the real iPhone 4G. Gizmodo responded asking them to claim for its ownership and then they’ll return it. Well what about those $5000 that they have spent on the device? It makes me think that it’s all fake. Apple says that the device was stolen. Don’t think there’s a way to sneak something out from Apple Campus. Apple could do everything on purpose to get the feedback from public with a help from Gizmodo.com. As a reward Gizmodo.com got tons of extra readers. This all seems too strange. Who knows.. Maybe in summer Apple will give us a totally differnt iPhone from what we saw this week. Give me your opinion. Really want to know want other people think of this “iPhone 4G leak”…..

One of the main features of a basic computer is missing on the iPad. Printing. Now, you can print whatever you want, whenever you want. Magical in its simplicity.

I’m pretty sure you had this thought at one time “oh god.. That would be a great blog post. ” That’s what happens to me pretty often. But then when I get home, I forget what I wanted to write, and make up something.
Right now, I’m writing this using an app for iPhone called “WordPress”. And obviously, it’s an app for iPhone that let’s you write posts, create new pages, write/delete/approve comments. So basically I can do almost everything with my blog on an iPhone! The installation is pretty easy. You just have to enter an URL of your blog, your login, and your password. That’s it! You’re ready to go.

iPad is going to be released in US on th 3rd of April. It’s this Saturday. The lowest price is $499. Do not hurry to buy it though. There are so many alternatives to it, and some of them are even better.

For example Enso zenPad. It’s running Android, and it’s only $155. It has WiFi, 3G network, and integrated GPS! Does an Apple iPad have an integrated GPS? Don’t think so. In addition, it can make phone calls on GSM and CDMA networks. It’s only 5 inches long, so you can put it in your pocket. I’ll give $10 anyone who will actually put his/her Apple iPad in a pocket in their pants.

I know I haven’t written anything since January the 12th. I had exams, so I needed time to prepare for them. Sorry.
Anyways, as you all might already know, Steve Jobs have presented Apple iPad on January the 27th. It is a great device that gives you incredible experience when you browse the internet. It is like a little book that you can navigate through touch. Steve Jobs also said that there is a SDK for the app developers. So, if anyone would like to write an application for iPad, feel free to do so.
As Apple launches iPad, it launches Apple Book Store as well. So now, you can buy, download, and read any book you want using your Apple iPad.
Another great news is that the gadget is only $499.00. This is amazing price for such a device. I am planning to buy one in close future.
